Competitive human resources (HR) are needed by the business world and industry in facing the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0. Improving the quality of human resources is a top priority in national development. This is in line with the nature of national development, namely the development of Indonesian people as a whole and the development of Indonesian society as a whole.
To be able to create quality human resources, vocational education institutions are challenged to contribute to producing human resources through graduates who have hard skills and soft skills according to the needs of the world of work. Vocational education has a strategic role in the link and match in the job market through learning processes and academic activities.
Business Administration Competition (BAC) is a competition activity carried out by Polytechnic vocational education institutions as an effort to improve the quality of human resources. The implementation of BAC is to measure the competence of students in the field of Business Administration/Commerce Polytechnics and vocational schools throughout Indonesia, both hard skills and soft skills. In general, this event also aims to establish friendship and strengthen friendship and brotherhood between students of the Department of Business/Commerce Administration, Secretaries/Offices as well as to increase the spirit of competition and achievement in an ethical and cultured campus environment. Seeing the importance of the contribution of vocational education institutions in improving the quality of human resources, the implementation of BAC VIII at the Manado State Polytechnic has the following activity theme: “Through BAC VIII in 2022, we increase the competence and competitiveness of graduates in the Business Administration field in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0”.
